Programs: Sustaining Pastoral Excellence

Lewis Fellows

The Lewis Fellows program brings together outstanding young clergy persons for:

  • intensive leadership development activities
  • sustained peer interaction

The first two pilot groups of Lewis Fellows began their work in 2005. A report on their inaugural meeting was published in Calling, Spring 2005.

Colleague groups are:

  • Composed of twelve men and women committed to excellence in pastoral leadership for the transformation of lives, congregations, and denominations.
  • Ecumenically, theologically, and ethnically diverse
For those still in their twenties or thirties, out of seminary at least three years but not more than ten, and currently serving full-time in a local congregation.
